DRUID is a rapidly growing conversational and agentic AI company, delivering sophisticated AI agents to enterprise clients worldwide. Founded in Romania and now headquartered in New York, DRUID enables organisations to automate business processes using AI agents and intelligent applications. The company’s go-to-market strategy relies heavily on an international network of partners who deliver DRUID solutions in diverse markets.
To scale this model, DRUID recognised the need to train partner teams efficiently particularly technical staff, business analysts, and sales representatives without overloading internal training resources. The solution was a self-service, scalable digital learning environment that could also foster a vibrant developer community. By implementing Totara, DRUID has transformed its training strategy into a powerful driver of growth, visibility, and partner enablement.
Challenges
Overstretched Training Resources
As demand for DRUID’s technology increased, internal teams struggled to support live training across global time zones. With partners located in multiple regions, including Europe, North America, and beyond, coordinating synchronous training sessions posed significant logistical challenges. Learners were often unable to attend sessions during their local working hours, and trainers were delivering the same sessions repeatedly, often at inconvenient hours, to accommodate international partners. This model quickly became unsustainable.
Learner Experience
DRUID’s most important learning track is technical in nature, requiring developers to build and configure AI agents from scratch. The curriculum involves hands-on exercises and advanced content, making structured, role-specific pathways essential.
DRUID aspired to build more than just a training platform, it aimed to create a developer ecosystem that encouraged collaboration, engagement, and knowledge sharing between users across different partner organisations.
Key Learning Paths
DRUID’s learning paths cater to a wide range of roles involved in implementing conversational AI solutions. Key learning areas include:
- Technical Curriculum: Building AI agents, creating integrations, developing connectors, and constructing domain-specific solutions (e.g., for healthcare).
- Sales and Business Analysis: Understanding DRUID’s value proposition, sales cycle, and delivery framework.
- Practical Certification: Learners must complete progressively difficult modules, culminating in a hands-on final project that is manually assessed.
All users receive certificates upon completion, which they are encouraged to share on social media, promoting DRUID’s brand and creating a sense of accomplishment.
Solution
With support from Totara and implementation partner NOSCO, DRUID launched the DRUID Academy, a centralised, Totara-powered learning environment offering both Learn and Engage modules. The Academy serves both internal employees and external partners, but is also open to the public, providing free access to anyone interested in exploring DRUID’s technology.
From the moment a user registers, they’re able to train independently, complete quizzes, and earn a diploma they can share across communication channels, all without manual intervention. That’s a big win for us.

Key Features Implemented
- Automated Enrolment and Progression: Learners are automatically enrolled in increasingly advanced courses as they progress, ensuring structured learning without administrative bottlenecks.
- Manual Assessment for Advanced Certification: For the final technical project, users create a working virtual assistant in a live environment. This is manually assessed by DRUID experts to ensure quality and competence.
- Integrated Feedback Chatbot: DRUID integrated its own AI agent into the platform to collect user feedback, gaining insights into learner satisfaction and experience.
- Active Forum and Peer Engagement: A public forum allows learners to post questions and receive answers, encouraging interaction between users from different organisations.
- Social Sharing and Visibility: Certificates are designed to be shareable on LinkedIn and other platforms, enhancing DRUID’s visibility and positioning the company as a thought leader in the AI space.
Results
Global Reach and Certification
DRUID Academy now supports over 2,000 registered users, with approximately 50% of those being active. The ability to deliver training asynchronously has enabled DRUID to support learners in every time zone.
The shift from live training to self-paced learning has freed up internal resources. Trainers now focus on strategic support and high-value tasks, rather than repetitive delivery.
Learners actively share their certifications online, boosting DRUID’s brand visibility and credibility, especially within technical and developer communities.
Each time a user completes a course and posts their certificate on LinkedIn, it creates excitement and increases our presence. This visibility has even helped us recruit new talent.

Community Engagement
DRUID has cultivated a growing community of developers who interact via the Academy forum. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enable certified users to contribute to a future DRUID solution marketplace, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange.
While the Academy primarily serves external partners, DRUID also uses the platform to train internal teams, including sales, delivery, and support staff, on different learning tracks.
We’re using the forum to understand learner needs, be in touch with them, and even identify business opportunities or new hires […] Having the Academy now allows our partners to train in their own time, while we just answer questions in the forum. It solved a lot of problems for us.

Future Plans
DRUID continues to enhance the Academy and its broader learning ecosystem with plans to:
- Expand Course Offerings: Broaden the curriculum to cover additional roles and industries.
- Embed AI Agents into Learning Journeys: Evolve the current feedback chatbot into a full training AI agent to guide users through the Academy.
- Enable Solution Sharing via a Marketplace: Allow certified developers to contribute reusable components or templates to a public solution library.
- Develop Ethics-Focused Content: Introduce training on responsible AI usage and ethics, aligned with global regulations and industry standards.
We’re not just building a training platform; we’re building a global community of innovators who can shape the future of conversational AI.
